1 One bruised by crushing or severing the genitals shall not enter into the assembly of YHWH. 2 One of illegitimate birth shall not enter the assembly of YHWH—even to the tenth generation none shall enter of his seed into the assembly of YHWH. 3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the assembly of YHWH; even to the tenth generation none shall enter the assembly of YHWH, even to the age, 4 on account of the matter that they did not meet you⁺ with the bread and with the water on the road when you⁺ came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram-naharaim, to curse you.
