1 You? are sons of YHWH your? God; you? shall not cut yourselves, nor make a baldness between your? eyes on behalf of the dead. 2 For you are a holy people to YHWH your God, and YHWH has chosen you to be for Himself a people, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. 3 You shall not eat any detestable thing. 4 This is the animal that you? may eat: The ox, a lamb of the flock, and the goat, 5 the deer, and the gazelle, and the roe deer, and the wild goat, and the ibex, and the antelope, and the mountain sheep. 6 And every animal dividing the hoof and having split the cleft into two hooves, bringing up the cud, among the animals, you? may eat.
