2 they were carrying a man who had been lame from his birth, one whom they daily laid at the gate of the temple called, Beauty-gate, to ask alms of those that pass'd into the temple. 3 he seeing Peter and John going into the temple, asked alms of them. 4 Peter and John having their eyes upon him, Peter said, look on us. 5 at which he look'd very attentively, expecting to receive something of them. 6 then Peter said, silver and gold have I none; but such as I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, rise up and walk. 7 and taking him by the right hand, he lift him up; and immediately his feet and ancle-bones received strength. 8 so that he fell a leaping, and walking, and entred with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
