12 But Gallio being proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and led him to the judgment seat,

13 saying, “This man persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.”

14 And Paul being about to open the mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If indeed it was some unrighteousness or wicked crime, O Jews, according to reason I would have endured with you?.

15 But if it is a question about a word and names and in reference to your? law, you? will see yourselves. I resolve not to be a judge of these things.”

16 And he drove them from the judgment seat.

17 Then they all, having seized Sosthenes the synagogue ruler, were beating him before the judgment seat. And it mattered nothing to Gallio about these things.
