37 And you also are familiar with the news which was published throughout Judæa, which sprang from Galilee, after the baptism preached by John; 38 Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, whom God anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, and who, because God was with him, went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did throughout the land of Judæa and in Jerusalem. This very one the Jews crucified on a cross and killed him: 40 Him God raised on the third day, and showed him openly; 41 Not to all the people, but to us who have been chosen by God to be his witnesses, for we did eat and drink with him after his resurrection from the dead. 42 And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify, that it is he who was ordained by God to be the judge of the living and of the dead. 43 To him, all the prophets testified that whosoever believes in his name shall receive remission of sins.
