11 and King David (beloved) dedicated these to the LORD {YHWH}, along with the silver and gold he had dedicated from all the nations he had subdued— 12 from Edom [Aram] and Moab (of his father), from the Ammonites (tribal) and Philistines (immigrants) and Amalekites (dwellers in a valley), and from the spoil of Hadadezer (Hadad is help) son of Rehob (broad place), king of Zobah (station). 13 And David (beloved) made a name for himself when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites [Arameans] in the Valley of Salt. 14 He placed garrisons throughout Edom (red), and all the Edomites were subject to David (beloved). So the LORD {YHWH} made David victorious wherever he went. 2 Samuel 8:11-14, Berean Annotated Bible. Public domain.
