And Manasseh (causing to forget) rested with his fathers and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza (strength). And his son Amon (skilled workman) reigned in his place.

Amon (skilled workman) was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem (city of peace) two years. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth (friend) daughter of Haruz (zealous); she was from Jotbah (pleasing).

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD {YHWH}, as his father Manasseh (causing to forget) had done.

He walked in all the ways of his father, and he served and worshiped the idols his father had served.

He abandoned the LORD, the God {YHWH Elohe} of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the LORD.

Then the servants of Amon (skilled workman) conspired against him and killed the king in his palace.

But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon (skilled workman), and they made his son Josiah (whom YHWH heals) king in his place.

As for the rest of the acts of Amon (skilled workman), along with his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah (praised)?

And he was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza (strength), and his son Josiah (whom YHWH heals) reigned in his place.
