3 This is good and acceptable before God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 the One having given Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony in their own proper times, 7 in regard to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I speak the truth; I do not lie—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8 Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension. 9 Likewise also women are to adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and sound-mindedness, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10 but with what is proper to women professing the fear of God through good works. 11 Let a woman learn in quietness, in all submission. 12 But I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to use authority over a man, but to be in quietness. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, has come into transgression. 15 But she will be saved through childbearing, if they remain in faith and love and holiness, with sound-mindedness. 1 Timothy 2:3-15, Berean Literal Bible.
