1 Paul (humble), called to be an apostle (sent one) of Christ (the Anointed One) Jesus (YHWH saves) by the will of God {Theou}, and our brother Sosthenes (of safe strength), 2 To the church {ekklēsia} of God {Theou} in Corinth (in Greece), to those sanctified in Christ (the Anointed One) Jesus (YHWH saves) and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord {Kyriou} Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours: 3 Grace and peace to you⁺ from God {Theou} our Father and the Lord {Kyriou} Jesus (YHWH saves) Christ (the Anointed One). 4 I always thank my God {Theō} for you⁺ because of the grace He has given you⁺ in Christ (the Anointed One) Jesus (YHWH saves). 5 For in Him you⁺ have been enriched in every way, in all speech and all knowledge, 6 because our testimony about Christ (the Anointed One) was confirmed in you⁺. 7 Therefore you⁺ do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord {Kyriou} Jesus (YHWH saves) Christ (the Anointed One). 8 He will sustain you⁺ to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord {Kyriou} Jesus (YHWH saves) Christ (the Anointed One). 9 God {Theos}, who has called you⁺ into fellowship {koinōnian} with His Son Jesus (YHWH saves) Christ (the Anointed One) our Lord {Kyriou}, is faithful. 10 I appeal to you⁺, brothers (and sisters), in the name of our Lord {Kyriou} Jesus (YHWH saves) Christ (the Anointed One), that all of you⁺ agree together, so that there may be no divisions among you⁺ and that you⁺ may be united in mind and conviction. 11 My brothers (and sisters), some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you⁺. 12 What I mean is this: Individuals among you⁺ are saying, “I follow Paul (humble), “I follow Apollos (of Alexandria), “I follow Cephas (Peter),” or “I follow Christ (the Anointed One). 13 Is Christ (the Anointed One) divided? Was Paul (humble) crucified for you⁺? Were you⁺ baptized (submerged) into the name of Paul? 1 Corinthians 1:1-13, Berean Annotated Bible. Public domain.
