32 Heber (comrade) was the father of Japhlet (he will deliver), Shomer (keeper), and Hotham (seal), and of their sister Shua (wealth). 33 The sons of Japhlet (he will deliver): Pasach (cut off), Bimhal (in circumcision), and Ashvath (sleek). These were Japhlet’s sons. 34 The sons of Shemer (preserved): Ahi (my brother), Rohgah (The sons of his brother Shemer: Rohgah), Hubbah (hidden), and Aram (exalted). 35 The sons of his brother Helem (Hotham): Zophah (a cruse), Imna (He will restrain), Shelesh (might), and Amal (labour). 36 The sons of Zophah (a cruse): Suah (sweeping), Harnepher (panting), Shual (jackal), Beri (a well), Imrah (bitterness), 37 Bezer (gold ore), Hod (splendor), Shamma (desert), Shilshah (strong), Ithran (Jether), and Beera (a well). 38 The sons of Jether (abundance): Jephunneh (He will be facing), Pispa (disappearance), and Ara (lion). 39 The sons of Ulla (yoke): Arah (traveller), Hanniel (favored of God), and Rizia (delight). 40 All these were the descendants of Asher (happy)—heads of their families, choice and mighty men of valor, and chiefs among the leaders.
