For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by the sons of Korah. How lovely are your dwellings, Yahweh of Armies! How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts! For the director of music. According to gittith. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. How lovely is your dwelling place, LORD Almighty!
My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, Yahweh of Armies, my King, and my God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. Selah. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings. As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools. As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appears before God in Zion. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.
Yahweh, God of Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. Selah. O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah Hear my prayer, LORD God Almighty; listen to me, God of Jacob.
Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed. Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed! Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one.
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you! LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.
