MY soul waits upon God; from him comes my salvation. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
He only is my God and my salvation; he is my great defense; I shall not be moved. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
How long will you threaten a man so that you may kill him? Like a crumbling wall shall you be and as a tottering fence. How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down— this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
For you have thought to cast him down from his excellency; you delight in lies; you bless with your mouths, but curse with your hearts. They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.
My soul, wait only upon God; for my salvation is from him. For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
He only is my God and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be moved. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory; God is my strength, my refuge, and my hope. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times; you people, pour out your hearts before him; God is a refuge for us. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Surely all untrue men are like vapor; when they are placed in the balance, they are found wanting. Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath. Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery; if riches increase, let not your heart rejoice over them. Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them. Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.
God has said this once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs unto God. Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to you, God,
Also unto thee, O LORD, belongs mercy; for thou renderest to every man according to his work. and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work. and with you, Lord, is unfailing love|; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”
