SAVE me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength, O God, save me by your name, and vindicate me by your might. For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil of David. When the Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, “Is not David hiding among us?” Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.
Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth. Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.
For strangers are risen up against me, and the mighty seek after my life; they have disregarded thee, O God. For strangers have risen against me; ruthless men seek my life; they do not set God before themselves. Selah Arrogant foes are attacking me; ruthless people are trying to kill me— people without regard for God.
Behold, God is my helper; the LORD sustains my soul. Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
Bring disaster to mine enemies; silence them in thy truth. He will return the evil to my enemies; in your faithfulness put an end to them. Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them.
I will freely sacrifice to thee; I will praise thy name, O LORD, for it is good; With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, O LORD, for it is good. I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, LORD, for it is good.
For thou hast delivered me out of all troubles; and mine eye hath seen mine enemies defeated. For he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies. You have delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.
