A Psalm of David. To thee, O Lord, have I cried; my God, be not silent toward me: lest thou be silent toward me, and so I should be likened to them that go down to the pit. To you, O LORD, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Of David. To you, LORD, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Hearken to the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy temple. Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary. Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.
Draw not away my soul with sinners, and destroy me not with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbours, but evils are in their hearts. Do not drag me off with the wicked, with the workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbors while evil is in their hearts. Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.
Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their devices: give them according to the works of their hands; render their recompense unto them. Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward. Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back on them what they deserve.
Because they have not attended to the works of the Lord, even to the works of his hands, thou shalt pull them down, and shalt not build them up. Because they do not regard the works of the LORD or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and build them up no more. Because they have no regard for the deeds of the LORD and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again.
Blessed be the Lord, for he has hearkened to the voice of my petition. Blessed be the LORD! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my helper and my defender; my heart has hoped in him, and I am helped: my flesh has revived, and willingly will I give praise to him. The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
The Lord is the strength of his people, and the saving defender of his anointed. The LORD is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: and take care of them, and lift them up for ever. Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.
