1 Of David. Judge me, O YHWH! For I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in YHWH without slipping. Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. Of David. Vindicate me, LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD and have not faltered.
2 Examine me, O YHWH, and test me; refine my kidneys and my heart. Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind. Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
3 For Your loving devotion is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth. For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.
4 I do not sit with men of vanity, and with dissemblers I will not go in. I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites.
5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and with the wicked I do not sit. I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.
6 I wash my hands in innocence, and I go about Your altar, O YHWH, I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O LORD, I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, LORD,
7 to sound with a voice of thanksgiving, and to recount all Your wonders. proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds. proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds.
8 O YHWH, I love the habitation of Your house, and the place of the dwelling of Your glory. O LORD, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells. LORD, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells.
9 Do not gather my soul with sinners, and my life with men of blood, Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, Do not take away my soul along with sinners, my life with those who are bloodthirsty,
10 in whose hands is a scheme, and whose right hand is filled with a bribe. in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. in whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.
11 And I, in my integrity, walk; redeem me and be merciful to me. But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me. I lead a blameless life; deliver me and be merciful to me.
12 My foot stands on level ground; in the assemblies I will bless YHWH. My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the LORD. My feet stand on level ground; in the great congregation I will praise the LORD.
