Alleluia, of Aggeus and Zacharias. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, my soul.
Praise the Lord, O my soul, in my life I will praise the Lord: I will sing to my God as long as I shall be. Put not your trust in princes: I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
in the children of men, in whom there is no salvation. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.
His spirit shall go forth, and he shall return into his earth: in that day all their thoughts shall perish. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God: Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.
who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all things that are in them. who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever.
Who keepeth truth for ever: who executeth judgment for them that suffer wrong: who giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth them that are fettered: who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free; He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free,
the Lord enlighteneth the blind. The Lord lifteth up them that are cast down: the Lord loveth the just. the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous. the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.
The Lord keepeth the strangers, he will support the fatherless and the widow: and the ways of sinners he will destroy. The LORD watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
The Lord shall reign for ever: thy God, O Sion, unto generation and generation. The LORD will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD! The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD.
