A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.
For the scepter of wickedness won’t remain over the allotment of the righteous, so that the righteous won’t use their hands to do evil. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hands to do wrong. The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil.
Do good, Yahweh, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts. Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts! LORD, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart.
But as for those who turn away to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel. But those who turn aside to their crooked ways the LORD will lead away with evildoers! Peace be upon Israel! But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be on Israel.
