Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments. Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.
His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed. His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Glory and wealth shall be in his house: and his justice remaineth for ever and ever. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.
To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just. Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
Acceptable is the man that showeth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment: It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
because he shall not be moved for ever. For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.
The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: he shall not hear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord: He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
his heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory. He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor. They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.
The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: the desire of the wicked shall perish. The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish! The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
