Hallelujah! Happy is the person who fears the LORD, taking great delight in his commands. Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.
His descendants will be powerful in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.
Light shines in the darkness for the upright. He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous. Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
Good will come to the one who lends generously and conducts his business fairly. It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
He will never be shaken. The righteous one will be remembered forever. For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.
He will not fear bad news; his heart is confident, trusting in the LORD. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is assured; he will not fear. In the end he will look in triumph on his foes. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
He distributes freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted in honor. He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor. They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.
The wicked one will see it and be angry; he will gnash his teeth in despair. The desire of the wicked leads to ruin. The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish! The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
