A generous person will be enriched, and the one who gives a drink of water will receive water. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
People will curse anyone who hoards grain, but a blessing will come to the one who sells it. The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it. People curse the one who hoards grain, but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell.
The one who searches for what is good seeks favor, but if someone looks for trouble, it will come to him. Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it. Whoever seeks good finds favor, but evil comes to one who searches for it.
Anyone trusting in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage. Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf. Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.
The one who brings ruin on his household will inherit the wind, and a fool will be a slave to someone whose heart is wise. Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart. Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, but a cunning person takes lives. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.
If the righteous will be repaid on earth, how much more the wicked and sinful. If the righteous is repaid on earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner! If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner!
