3	“Listen! Consider the sower who went out to sow.	“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.	“Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.
4	As he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.	And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.	As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.
5	Other seed fell on rocky ground where it didn’t have much soil, and it grew up quickly, since the soil wasn’t deep. 9	Then he said, “Let anyone who has ears to hear listen.”	And he said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”	Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”
