1	This is what the LORD says to Cyrus His anointed, whose right hand I have grasped to subdue nations before him, to disarm kings, to open the doors before him, so that the gates will not be shut:	Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:	Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;	This is what the LORD says to Cyrus His anointed, Whom I have taken by the right hand, To subdue nations before him And to undo <i>the weapons belt on</i> the waist of kings; To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:	“This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:
2	“I will go before you and level the mountains; I will break down the gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.	“I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron,	I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:	“I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars.	I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.
3	I will give you the treasures of darkness and the riches hidden in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by name.	I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name.	And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call <i>thee</i> by thy name, <i>am</i> the God of Israel.	“I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.	I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
4	For the sake of Jacob My servant and Israel My chosen one, I call you by name; I have given you a title of honor, though you have not known Me.	For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me.	For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.	“For the sake of Jacob My servant, And Israel My chosen <i>one,</i> I have also called you by your name; I have given you a title of honor Though you have not known Me.	For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me.
5	I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God but Me. I will equip you for battle, though you have not known Me,	I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me,	I <i>am</i> the LORD, and <i>there is</i> none else, <i>there is</i> no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:	“I am the LORD, and there is no one else; There is no God except Me. I will arm you, though you have not known Me,	I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me,
6	so that all may know, from where the sun rises to where it sets, that there is none but Me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.	that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.	That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that <i>there is</i> none beside me. I <i>am</i> the LORD, and <i>there is</i> none else.	So that <i>people</i> may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no one else,	so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.
7	I form the light and create the darkness; I bring prosperity and create calamity. I, the LORD, do all these things.	I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the LORD, who does all these things.	I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these <i>things</i>.	The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating disaster; I am the LORD who does all these things.	I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things.
8	Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness. Let the earth open up that salvation may sprout and righteousness spring up with it; I, the LORD, have created it.	“Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit; let the earth cause them both to sprout; I the LORD have created it.	Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.	“Drip down, heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness sprout with it. I, the LORD, have created it.	“You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the LORD, have created it.
9	Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker— one clay pot among many. Does the clay ask the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘He has no hands’?	“Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?	Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! <i>Let</i> the potsherd <i>strive</i> with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?	“Woe to <i>the one</i> who quarrels with his Maker— A piece of pottery among the <i>other</i> earthenware pottery pieces! Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making <i>say,</i> ‘He has no hands’?	“Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands’?
10	Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to his mother, ‘What have you brought forth?’ ”	Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’ or to a woman, ‘With what are you in labor?’”	Woe unto him that saith unto <i>his</i> father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?	“Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you fathering?’ Or to a woman, ‘To what are you giving birth?’”	Woe to the one who says to a father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to a mother, ‘What have you brought to birth?’
11	Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: “How dare you question Me about My sons, or instruct Me in the work of My hands?	Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him: “Ask me of things to come; will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands?	Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.	This is what the LORD says, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker: “Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands.	“This is what the LORD says— the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands?
12	It is I who made the earth and created man upon it. It was My hands that stretched out the heavens, and I ordained all their host.	I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.	I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, <i>even</i> my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.	“It is I who made the earth, and created mankind upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands, And I ordained all their lights.	It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.
13	I will raise up Cyrus in righteousness, and I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild My city and set My exiles free, but not for payment or reward, says the LORD of Hosts.”	I have stirred him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways level; he shall build my city and set my exiles free, not for price or reward,” says the LORD of hosts.	I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.	“I have stirred him in righteousness, And I will make all his ways smooth. He will build My city and let My exiles go free, Without any payment or reward,” says the LORD of armies.	I will raise up Cyrus in my righteousness: I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price or reward, says the LORD Almighty.”
14	This is what the LORD says: “The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, along with the Sabeans, men of stature, will come over to you and will be yours; they will trudge behind you; they will come over in chains and bow down to you. They will confess to you: ‘God is indeed with you, and there is no other; there is no other God.’ ”	Thus says the LORD: “The wealth of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you and be yours; they shall follow you; they shall come over in chains and bow down to you. They will plead with you, saying: ‘Surely God is in you, and there is no other, no god besides him.’”	Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, <i>saying</i>, Surely God <i>is</i> in thee; and <i>there is</i> none else, <i>there is</i> no God.	This is what the LORD says: “The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush And the Sabeans, men of stature, Will come over to you and will be yours; They will walk behind you, they will come over in chains And will bow down to you; They will plead with you: ‘God certainly is with you, and there is no one else, No other God.’”	This is what the LORD says: “The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, and those tall Sabeans— they will come over to you and will be yours; they will trudge behind you, coming over to you in chains. They will bow down before you and plead with you, saying, ‘Surely God is with you, and there is no other; there is no other god.’”
15	Truly You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.	Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.	Verily thou <i>art</i> a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.	Truly, You are a God who hides Himself, God of Israel, Savior!	Truly you are a God who has been hiding himself, the God and Savior of Israel.
16	They will all be put to shame and humiliated; the makers of idols will depart together in disgrace.	All of them are put to shame and confounded; the makers of idols go in confusion together.	They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together <i>that are</i> makers of idols.	They will be put to shame and even humiliated, all of them; The manufacturers of idols will go away together in humiliation.	All the makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced; they will go off into disgrace together.
17	But Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated, to ages everlasting.	But Israel is saved by the LORD with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity.	<i>But</i> Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.	Israel has been saved by the LORD With an everlasting salvation; You will not be put to shame or humiliated To all eternity.	But Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting.
18	For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens— He is God; He formed the earth and fashioned it; He established it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.	For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the LORD, and there is no other.	For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I <i>am</i> the LORD; and <i>there is</i> none else.	For this is what the LORD says, <i>He</i> who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it <i>and</i> did not create it as a waste place, <i>but</i> formed it to be inhabited): “I am the LORD, and there is no one else.	For this is what the LORD says— he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— he says: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.
19	I have not spoken in secret, from a place in a land of darkness. I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in a wasteland.’ I, the LORD, speak the truth; I say what is right.	I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I the LORD speak the truth; I declare what is right.	I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.	“I have not spoken in secret, In some dark land; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in a wasteland’; I, the LORD, speak righteousness, Declaring things that are right.	I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.
20	Come, gather together, and draw near, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry idols of wood and pray to a god that cannot save.	“Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save.	Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye <i>that are</i> escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god <i>that</i> cannot save.	“Gather yourselves and come; Come together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge, Who carry around their wooden idol And pray to a god who cannot save.	“Gather together and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.
21	Speak up and present your case— yes, let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago? Who announced it from ancient times? Was it not I, the LORD? There is no other God but Me, a righteous God and Savior; there is none but Me.	Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me.	Tell ye, and bring <i>them</i> near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? <i>who</i> hath told it from that time? <i>have</i> not I the LORD? and <i>there is</i> no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; <i>there is</i> none beside me.	“Declare and present <i>your case;</i> Indeed, let them consult together. Who has announced this long ago? Who has long since declared it? Is it not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a Savior; There is none except Me.	Declare what is to be, present it— let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.
22	Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.	“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.	Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I <i>am</i> God, and <i>there is</i> none else.	“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.	“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
23	By Myself I have sworn; truth has gone out from My mouth, a word that will not be revoked: Every knee will bow before Me, every tongue will swear allegiance.	By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.’	I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth <i>in</i> righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.	“I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear <i>allegiance.</i>	By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.
24	Surely they will say of Me, ‘In the LORD alone are righteousness and strength.’ ” All who rage against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.	“Only in the LORD, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him.	Surely, shall <i>one</i> say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: <i>even</i> to him shall <i>men</i> come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.	“They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’ <i>People</i> will come to Him, And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.	They will say of me, ‘In the LORD alone are deliverance and strength.’” All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.
25	In the LORD all descendants of Israel will be justified and will exult.	In the LORD all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory.”	In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.	“In the LORD all the offspring of Israel Will be justified and will boast.”	But all the descendants of Israel will find deliverance in the LORD and will make their boast in him.
