1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born unto them, When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose. the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be an hundred and twenty years. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men which were of old, the men of renown. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
5 And the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the ground; both man, and beast, and creeping thing, and fowl of the air; for it repeateth me that I have made them. So the LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” So the LORD said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”

9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, and perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God. These are the generations of Noah. 14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.
15 And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits, its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.
16 A light shalt thou make to the ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks. Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks.
17 And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; every thing that is in the earth shall die. For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish.
18 But I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you.
20 Of the fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive. Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up. It shall serve as food for you and for them.” You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he. Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him. Noah did everything just as God commanded him.
