1 Brethren, and if a man be overtaken in any fault, you, who are spiritual, instruct such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another's burdens; and so you shall fulfil the law of Christ. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
3 For if any man think himself to be some thing, whereas he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves.
4 But let every one prove his own work, and so he shall have glory in himself only, and not in another. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else,
5 For every one shall bear his own burden. For each will have to bear his own load. for each one should carry their own load.
6 And let him that is instructed in the word, communicate to him that instructeth him, in all good things. Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
7 Be not deceived, God is not mocked. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
8 For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
9 And in doing good, let us not fail. For in due time we shall reap, not failing. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
10 Therefore, whilst we have time, let us work good to all men, but especially to those who are of the household of the faith. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
11 See what a letter I have written to you with my own hand. See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!
12 For as many as desire to please in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer the persecution of the cross of Christ. It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh who would force you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised, keep the law; but they will have you to be circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.
14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world. But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.
16 And whosoever shall follow this rule, peace on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.
17 From henceforth let no man be troublesome to me; for I bear the marks of the Lord Jesus in my body. From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.
