1 Therefore, be imitators of God as dearly loved children Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children
2 and live in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
3 But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
4 Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting--all of which are out of character--but rather thanksgiving. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
5 For you can be confident of this one thing: that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy (such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God's wrath comes on the sons of disobedience. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
7 Therefore do not be partakers with them, Therefore do not become partners with them; Therefore do not be partners with them.

14 For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says: |Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!| for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15 Therefore be very careful how you live--not as unwise but as wise, Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,
16 taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil. making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
17 For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise by understanding what the Lord's will is. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

32 This mystery is great--but I am actually speaking with reference to Christ and the church. This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless, each one of you must also love his own wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
