| 4 | And the herald was calling out with force: “To you⁺ it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, | And the herald proclaimed aloud, “You are commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, | Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “Nations and peoples of every language, this is what you are commanded to do: | |
| 5 | that at the time when you⁺ hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, you⁺ shall fall down and give homage to the image of gold that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up! | that when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. | As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. | |
| 6 | And whoever does not fall down and give homage to it, he shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning furnace of fire!” | And whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace.” | Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.” | |
| 7 | All because of this, at that time, accordingly as all the people heard the sound of the horn, the flute, the lyre, trigon, pipe, and all kinds of music, they fell down—all the people, nations, and languages—giving homage to the image of gold that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. | Therefore, as soon as all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, all the peoples, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. | Therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp and all kinds of music, all the nations and peoples of every language fell down and worshiped the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. | |
