9 After he had said this, he was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 While he was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
11 They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen him going into heaven.” and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is near Jerusalem—a Sabbath day’s journey away. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away. Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city.
13 When they arrived, they went to the room upstairs where they were staying: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying.
