2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We are obligated to thank God for you all the time, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith is growing more and more, and your love for one another is increasing. We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers <i>and sisters,</i> as is <i>only</i> fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows <i>ever</i> greater. We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
4 That is why we boast among God’s churches about your perseverance and faith in the face of all the persecution and affliction you are enduring. Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring. So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: As a result, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.
5 All this is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment. And so you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering— <i>Which is</i> a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: <i>This is</i> a plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering. All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
6 After all, it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, Seeing <i>it is</i> a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; For after all it is <i>only</i> right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you
7 and to grant relief to you who are oppressed and to us as well. This will take place when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, and <i>to give</i> relief to you who are afflicted, <i>along</i> with us, when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.
8 in blazing fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His might, They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; These people will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might
10 on the day He comes to be glorified in His saints and regarded with wonder by all who have believed, including you who have believed our testimony. when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. when He comes to be glorified among His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—because our testimony to you was believed. on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.
11 To this end, we always pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of His calling, and that He will powerfully fulfill your every good desire and work of faith, To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of <i>this</i> calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of <i>his</i> goodness, and the work of faith with power: To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will consider you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.
12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
