1 And all the work that Solomon had done for the house of YHWH was finished. And Solomon brought in the holy things of David his father, and the silver, and the gold, and all the furnishings, and he put them in the treasuries of the house of God. Thus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, and stored the silver, the gold, and all the vessels in the treasuries of the house of God. When all the work Solomon had done for the temple of the LORD was finished, he brought in the things his father David had dedicated—the silver and gold and all the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of God’s temple.
2 At that time Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, chiefs of the fathers of the sons of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH from the City of David; it is Zion. Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the LORD’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.
3 And assembled unto the king all the men of Israel at the feast; it was the seventh month. And all the men of Israel assembled before the king at the feast that is in the seventh month. And all the Israelites came together to the king at the time of the festival in the seventh month.
4 And all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark. And all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark. When all the elders of Israel had arrived, the Levites took up the ark,
5 And they brought up the ark, and the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle. The priests, the Levites, brought them up. 6 And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him before the ark were sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted and not numbered for multitude. And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered. and King Solomon and the entire assembly of Israel that had gathered about him were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and cattle that they could not be recorded or counted.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of YHWH to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Holy of Holies, to beneath the wings of the cherubim. Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the Most Holy Place, underneath the wings of the cherubim. The priests then brought the ark of the LORD’s covenant to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, and put it beneath the wings of the cherubim.
8 And the cherubim were spreading out wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered over the ark and its poles from above. The cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim made a covering above the ark and its poles. The cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark and covered the ark and its carrying poles.
9 And the poles extended, and the ends of the poles of the ark were seen from in front of the inner sanctuary; they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day. 10 Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets that Moses gave at Horeb, when YHWH cut with the sons of Israel in their going out from Egypt. 12 and the Levites (the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brothers, clothed in white linen, having cymbals and stringed instruments and harps) stood on the east of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with the trumpets— and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, their sons and kinsmen, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, stood east of the altar with 120 priests who were trumpeters; All the Levites who were musicians—Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun and their sons and relatives—stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps and lyres. They were accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets.
13 and it came to pass that the trumpeters and the singers were as one to sound one voice in praising and thanking YHWH. And they lifted up a voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised YHWH: “For good, even to forever, is His loving devotion.” And the house was filled with a cloud—the house of YHWH— and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the LORD ), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the LORD, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever,” the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud,
14 and the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud, for the glory of YHWH had filled the house of God. so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God. and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.
