1 Jehoshaphat his son then became king in his place, and strengthened himself over Israel. Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place and strengthened himself against Israel. Jehoshaphat his son succeeded him as king and strengthened himself against Israel.
2 And he put military forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, and put garrisons in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim which Asa his father had captured. 5 So Yahweh established the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah brought presents to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor. Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand. The LORD established the kingdom under his control; and all Judah brought gifts to Jehoshaphat, so that he had great wealth and honor.
6 And his heart took great pride in the ways of Yahweh, and again he took away the high places and the Asherim from Judah. His heart was courageous in the ways of the LORD. And furthermore, he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah. His heart was devoted to the ways of the LORD; furthermore, he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah.

9 And they taught in Judah, having the book of the law of Yahweh with them; and they went throughout all the cities of Judah and taught among the people. 11 Indeed, some of the Philistines brought presents and silver as their tax burden to Jehoshaphat; the Arabians also brought him flocks, 7,700 rams and 7,700 male goats. Some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents and silver for tribute, and the Arabians also brought him 7,700 rams and 7,700 goats. 19 These are they who attended on the king, apart from those whom the king put in the fortified cities through all Judah. These were in the service of the king, besides those whom the king had placed in the fortified cities throughout all Judah. These were the men who served the king, besides those he stationed in the fortified cities throughout Judah.
