Now about the collection for the saints, you are to do as I directed the churches of Galatia: Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you are to do as well. Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do.
On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a portion of his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will be needed. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put aside and save as he may prosper, so that no collections need to be made when I come. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
Then, on my arrival, I will send letters with those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem. And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem. And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. When I arrive, whomever you approve, I will send them with letters to take your gift to Jerusalem; Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.
And if it is advisable for me to go also, they can travel with me. If it seems advisable that I should go also, they will accompany me. And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me. and if it is appropriate for me to go also, they will go with me. If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.
After I go through Macedonia, however, I will come to you; for I will be going through Macedonia. I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia, Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia. But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia; for I am going through Macedonia, After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you—for I will be going through Macedonia.
Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey, wherever I go. And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go. and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I go. Perhaps I will stay with you for a while, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go.
For I do not want to see you now only in passing; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. For I do not want to see you now just in passing. I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. For I do not want to see you now just in passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits. For I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.
But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost; But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost,
because a great door for effective work has opened to me, even though many oppose me. for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. for a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.
If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am. When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am. Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. Now if Timothy comes, see that he has no reason to be afraid while among you, for he is doing the Lord’s work, as I also am. When Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am.
No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he can return to me, for I am expecting him along with the brothers. So let no one despise him. Help him on his way in peace, that he may return to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers. Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren. So do not look down on him, anyone. But send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brothers. No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers.
Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was not at all inclined to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity. Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity. As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time. Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly encouraged him to come to you with the brothers; and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has the opportunity. Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.
