NLT Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew American Standard Bible 1995
1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
2“God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens.2"Dominion and awe belong to Him Who establishes peace in His heights.
3Who is able to count his heavenly army? Doesn’t his light shine on all the earth?3"Is there any number to His troops? And upon whom does His light not rise?
4How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?4"How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?
5God is more glorious than the moon; he shines brighter than the stars.5"If even the moon has no brightness And the stars are not pure in His sight,
6In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”6How much less man, that maggot, And the son of man, that worm!"
