NLT Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationEnglish Standard Version
1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:
2“God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens.2“Dominion and fear are with God; he makes peace in his high heaven.
3Who is able to count his heavenly army? Doesn’t his light shine on all the earth?3Is there any number to his armies? Upon whom does his light not arise?
4How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?4How then can man be in the right before God? How can he who is born of woman be pure?
5God is more glorious than the moon; he shines brighter than the stars.5Behold, even the moon is not bright, and the stars are not pure in his eyes;
6In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”6how much less man, who is a maggot, and the son of man, who is a worm!”
