Psalm 126
NKJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNET Bible
1A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.1A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the well-being of Zion, we thought we were dreaming.
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”2At that time we laughed loudly and shouted for joy. At that time the nations said, "The LORD has accomplished great things for these people."
3The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.3The LORD did indeed accomplish great things for us. We were happy.
4Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.4O LORD, restore our well-being, just as the streams in the arid south are replenished.
5Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.5Those who shed tears as they plant will shout for joy when they reap the harvest.
6He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.6The one who weeps as he walks along, carrying his bag of seed, will certainly come in with a shout of joy, carrying his sheaves of grain.
