New King James VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments.1Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who greatly delights in His commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.2His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.3Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.4Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous.
A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.5It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.
Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.6For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever.
He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.7He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.8His heart is upheld, he will not fear, Until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries.
He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.9He has given freely to the poor, His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted in honor.
The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.10The wicked will see it and be vexed, He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked will perish.
