Psalm 1
NET Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew International Version
1How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers! 1Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
2Instead he finds pleasure in obeying the LORD's commands; he meditates on his commands day and night. 2but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.
3He is like a tree planted by flowing streams; it yields its fruit at the proper time, and its leaves never fall off. He succeeds in everything he attempts. 3That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-- whatever they do prospers.
4Not so with the wicked! Instead they are like wind-driven chaff. 4Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
5For this reason the wicked cannot withstand judgment, nor can sinners join the assembly of the godly. 5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6Certainly the LORD guards the way of the godly, but the way of the wicked ends in destruction. 6For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
