Psalm 123
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
1A Song of Ascents. To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens!1A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us.2As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy.
3Be gracious to us, O LORD, be gracious to us, For we are greatly filled with contempt.3Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt.
4Our soul is greatly filled With the scoffing of those who are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud.4We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud.
