New American Standard Bible 1995King James Bible
A Song of Ascents, of David. I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."1A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
Our feet are standing Within your gates, O Jerusalem,2Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem, that is built As a city that is compact together;3Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
To which the tribes go up, even the tribes of the LORD-- An ordinance for Israel-- To give thanks to the name of the LORD.4Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
For there thrones were set for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.5For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
"May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces."7Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, "May peace be within you."8For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.9Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
