King James BibleNET Bible
A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.1By David. I will give you thanks with all my heart; before the heavenly assembly I will sing praises to you.
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.2I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky.
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.3When I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me.
All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.4Let all the kings of the earth give thanks to you, O LORD, when they hear the words you speak.
Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.5Let them sing about the LORD's deeds, for the LORD's splendor is magnificent.
Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.6Though the LORD is exalted, he takes note of the lowly, and recognizes the proud from far away.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.7Even when I must walk in the midst of danger, you revive me. You oppose my angry enemies, and your right hand delivers me.
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.8The LORD avenges me. O LORD, your loyal love endures. Do not abandon those whom you have made!
