A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.1Davidic. I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing Your praise before the heavenly beings.
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.2I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your constant love and truth. You have exalted Your name and Your promise above everything else.
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.3On the day I called, You answered me; You increased strength within me.
All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.4All the kings on earth will give You thanks, LORD, when they hear what You have promised.
Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.5They will sing of the LORD's ways, for the LORD's glory is great.
Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.6Though the LORD is exalted, He takes note of the humble; but He knows the haughty from a distance.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.7If I walk into the thick of danger, You will preserve my life from the anger of my enemies. You will extend Your hand; Your right hand will save me.
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.8The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me. LORD, Your love is eternal; do not abandon the work of Your hands.
