Psalm 1
ISV Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionBerean Study Bible
1How blessed is the person, who does not take the advice of the wicked, who does not stand on the path with sinners, and who does not sit in the seat of mockers.1Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers.
2But he delights in the LORD's instruction, and meditates in his instruction day and night.2But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night.
3He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in its season, and whose leaf does not wither. He will prosper in everything he does.3He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.
4But this is not the case with the wicked. They are like chaff that the wind blows away.4Not so the wicked! For they are like chaff driven off by the wind.
5Therefore the wicked will not escape judgment, nor will sinners have a place in the assembly of the righteous.5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will be destroyed.6For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
