Appendix xii. The Baptism of Proselytes
As soon as Laban heard that his nephew Jacob had arrived, he ran out to meet him. He embraced and kissed him and brought him home. When Jacob had told him his story,
When Joseph came home, they gave him the gifts they had brought him, then bowed low to the ground before him.
After greeting them, he asked, "How is your father, the old man you spoke about? Is he still alive?"
"Yes," they replied. "Our father, your servant, is alive and well." And they bowed low again.
Now the LORD had said to Aaron, "Go out into the wilderness to meet Moses." So Aaron went and met Moses at the mountain of God, and he embraced him.
Jethro had sent a message to Moses, saying, "I, Jethro, your father-in-law, am coming to see you with your wife and your two sons."
It was Moses' practice to take the Tent of Meeting and set it up some distance from the camp. Everyone who wanted to make a request of the LORD would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp.
