Revelation 14
Lamsa Bible Par ▾
1AND I looked, and, lo, the Lamb stood on mount Sion, and with him a hundred forty and four thousand in number, having the name of his Father written on their brows. 2Then I heard a voice from heaven, as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of a great thunder: and the voice I heard was as the music of many harpists playing on their harps: 3And they sang a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts and the elders: and no man was able to learn that song, except the hundred forty and four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. 4These are those who were not defiled with women for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wheresoever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus, from among men, to be the first fruits to God and to the Lamb. 5And in their mouth was found no deceit: for they are without fault.

6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, to preach to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7Saying, with a loud voice, Serve God and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment has come: and worship him who made heaven and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8And another angel, a second followed him, saying, Babylon has fallen, that great city, which made all nations drink of the wine of the passion of her whoredom.

9Then another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark on his brow, or on his hand, 10He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed with bitterness in the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and before the throne: 11And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever: and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night. 12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the LORD from henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, for their works will follow them.

14And I looked, and lo, I saw a white cloud, and upon the cloud sat one resembling the Son of man, having on his head a crown of gold, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15And another angel came out of the temple, and after he cried with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, 16He thrust his sickle upon the earth; and the earth was harvested.

17And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven; and he also had a sharp sickle. 18Then out from the altar came another angel, who had power over fire; and cried with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vineyards of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe. 19And the angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vineyards of the earth, and cast the grapes into the winepress of the wrath of the great God. 20And the winepress was trodden until the juice which came out reached even to the horse bridles, and the circumference of the winepress was a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
