He foretells that in the latter times there shall be a departure from the faith.
And to the end that Timothy might not fail in doing his duty, he furnishes him with various precepts.
   11 parangelle  tauta  kai  didaske.  12 mēdeis  sou  tēs  neotētos  kataphroneitō  alla  tupos  ginou  tōn  pistōn  en  logō  en  anastrophē,  en  agapē,  en  pistei,  en  agneia.  13 eōs  erchomai  proseche  tē  anagnōsei,  tē  paraklēsei,  tē  didaskalia.  14 mē  amelei  tou  en  soi  charismatos,  o  edothē  soi  dia  prophēteias  meta  epitheseōs  tōn  cheirōn  tou  presbuteriou.  15 tauta  meleta,  en  toutois  isthi,  ina  sou  ē  prokopē  phanera  ē  pasin.  16 epeche  seautō  kai  tē  didaskalia,  epimene  autois·  touto  gar  poiōn  kai  seauton  sōseis  kai  tous  akouontas  sou.
