Good News Translation
He was so furious with the traitorous Jews who had urged him to come to Judea that he put many of them to death. Then Bacchides decided to return to his own country,

So he was very angry at the renegades who had counseled him to come into the country, and he killed many of them. Then he decided to go back to his own land.
