Hebrews 11:6  And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Romans 8:8  and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Psalm 149:4  For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.

1 Peter 2:19,20  For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person bears up under sorrows when suffering unjustly. • For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience?
