His reforms were characterized by a commitment to justice and the fear of the LORD.

3. King Hezekiah of Judah:
Hezekiah is renowned for his extensive religious reforms, which began in the first year of his reign. He reopened and repaired the doors of the Temple, which had been neglected during the reign of his father, Ahaz. Hezekiah gathered the priests and Levites, urging them to consecrate themselves and the Temple (2 Chronicles 29:3-5). He also reinstated the Passover celebration, which had been neglected (2 Chronicles 30:1-5).

4. King Josiah of Judah:
Josiah's reforms are among the most comprehensive recorded in the Bible. Upon discovering the Book of the Law in the Temple, Josiah tore his clothes in distress and sought to renew the covenant with the LORD (2 Kings 22:11-13). He purged the land of idolatry, destroyed the high places, and reinstituted the Passover (2 Kings 23:1-25).
