In Matthew 6:33 , Jesus teaches, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." Examples of Obedience Leading to Prosperity

Joseph's steadfast obedience, even in adversity, led to his rise to power in Egypt and the preservation of his family during famine (Genesis 41:39-41).

Conversely, the disobedience of figures like King Saul and the nation of Israel often resulted in loss and hardship, illustrating the consequences of straying from God's commands.

Obedience and Prosperity in the Life of Believers

For believers today, the principle of obedience leading to prosperity remains relevant. While the nature of prosperity may differ from the material wealth emphasized in the Old Testament, the spiritual blessings of peace, joy, and fulfillment are promised to those who walk in obedience to God. The Apostle Paul, in Philippians 4:19 , assures believers, "And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."
