God's Righteousness

The righteousness of God is intrinsic to His character, meaning that He is inherently righteous and cannot act contrary to His nature. In the Old Testament, God's righteousness is often associated with His covenantal faithfulness. For instance, in Psalm 11:7 , it is written, "For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice. In the New Testament, the praise of God's righteousness is often linked to the work of Christ. The righteousness imparted to believers through Christ results in a life that brings glory and praise to God.

The ultimate expression of praise for God's righteousness is found in the heavenly worship scenes depicted in the book of Revelation. In Revelation 19:1-2 , a great multitude in heaven exclaims, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! For His judgments are true and just." This heavenly praise acknowledges God's righteous judgments and His sovereign rule over all creation.
