Divine Order

Divine order refers to the structured and purposeful arrangement established by God in creation and throughout the unfolding of His divine plan. This concept is rooted in the belief that God is a God of order, not chaos, and that His creation reflects His orderly nature. The Bible begins with the account of creation, where God systematically brings order out of chaos. Genesis 1:1-2 states, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." The subsequent verses describe how God methodically created light, separated the waters, and established the earth and its inhabitants, each according to its kind.

The divine order is also evident in the moral and ethical laws given to humanity. The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17) serve as a foundational framework for righteous living, reflecting God's orderly nature and His desire for human society to function harmoniously. The Apostle Paul emphasizes this order in 1 Corinthians 14:33 , stating, "For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace."

In the New Testament, divine order is further revealed through the structure of the Church. Ephesians 4:11-12 outlines the roles within the Church, "And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ." This order ensures that the Church functions effectively, promoting spiritual growth and unity among believers.

Divine Justice

Divine justice is the principle that God is perfectly just and righteous in all His ways, ensuring that justice is ultimately served according to His divine will. The Bible consistently portrays God as a just judge who upholds righteousness and punishes wickedness. Psalm 89:14 declares, "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; loving devotion and truth go before You."

The concept of divine justice is intricately linked to God's character. Deuteronomy 32:4 affirms, "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness without injustice, righteous and upright is He." God's justice is not arbitrary but is rooted in His unchanging nature and His commitment to truth and righteousness.

Throughout the Old Testament, God's justice is demonstrated in His dealings with nations and individuals. The prophets frequently called Israel to repentance, warning of divine judgment for their sins while also promising restoration for those who turned back to God. In the New Testament, divine justice is ultimately fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:25-26 explains, "God presented Him as the atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had passed over the sins committed beforehand. He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus."

The final expression of divine justice will occur at the end of time, when God will judge the living and the dead. Revelation 20:12 describes this event: "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and there were open books. And one of them was the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books." This ultimate judgment underscores the certainty of divine justice and the assurance that God will right all wrongs and establish His eternal order.
